I am a Georgia native, born in Atlanta and raised in Decatur, Georgia. I attended Dekalb County Schools from 6th to 12th grade and graduated from Shamrock High School (now Druid Hills Middle) before attending THE Savannah State University where I received a Bachelor's of Science degree in mathematics. Go Tigers! I also have a Master's of Education degree in Curriculum and Instruction and an Educational Specialist degree in school leadership, both from Cambridge College. I am certified in Mathematics, Gifted, and ESOL.
This is my 21st year as a math teacher. I have taught elementary school, middle school, but high school has always had my heart. 
I have a 13-year old son who is beginning 8th grade at the middle school. I have an older brother, a niece, and a nephew. I live less than 5 minutes from both of my parents and their spouses.
I enjoy watching reality television shows, crime shows, and CNN. I am an introvert and enjoy spending time alone. I also enjoy reading, working out when I'm not making excuses, and spending time with the ones I love most.
